Clay shooting is a fantastic outdoor activity that gets everyone involved, from complete novice to the more experienced shot (Youger or Older - Ladies or Gentlemen). We actually guarantee that your guests will be hitting the clays regardless of their prio

When you initially arrive at the clay shooting grounds your group will be fully briefed on safety and handling the guns. Each participant will then receive hearing protection. The qualified instructors will then take you through the correct method required to aim & fire at the clays in order to acheive a "kill" or a "hit". Your day will include a practice session, a friendly competiton and you will also get one-on-one guidence and instruction - plus 30 clays per person.

Competitions are based on a variety of different 'clays'
Variety of Shotguns,traps and Sporting Stands.
Flurries are available via prior arrangement.
Trap shooting, Skeet shooting, Sporting Clays (shooting).
Combine this event with, Quad biking or Grass Karting!

Lower Lodge Shooting Grounds

Lower Lodge Shooting Grounds has been established for over 20 years and is now one of the leading clay shooting centres in the country.

With 'Down the Line' and 'Skeet' ranges and a comprehensive ‘Sporting' layout we are able to offer diverse and challenging targets designed to test and appeal to shooters of all standards. Our wooded 'Sporting' valley also includes three high towers where Game Shots can aim at simulated driven pheasant.

FITASC is also available by arrangement.

Shooting Practice

For shooters with their own guns, practice is available every Monday and Wednesday without appointment, just turn up. Practice is also available on other week days by arrangement.

Shooting Tuition

Tutored lessons, tailored to suit individual requirements, can be arranged by prior appointment on any Monday, Wednesday or Saturday. Our qualified instructors provide tuition for the complete novice and assist experienced shots who may need to get their eye in again.

Young Guns

Our very successful Young Shot Clinics are held throughout the year during school holidays when groups of 9 to 15 year olds are given professional instruction in gun handling and safety, etiquette, accurate shooting and a hot lunch!

Special rates are offered for group bookings of 4 or more youngsters wishing to experience clay pigeon shooting and archery - perfect for an alternative birthday treat.

All lessons can be shared for a small supplement; please contact us for further information. No supplement is incurred for lessons shared between parent and child when the child is aged under 16.

Ladies Days

Organised exclusively for ladies, Lower Lodge Ladies Days have become firmly established and are very popular. The activities include Clay Pigeon Shooting and Archery for beginners to experts, followed by a glass of wine and rounded off with a delicious buffet lunch.
