Commando Harbour Assault Challenge in Surrey (Dorking) near London Packages Activity Days UK
Develop your survival and orienteering skills when your team is parachuted into enemy territory with a mission objective to blow up a harbour jetty!
The 2 team challenge sounds easy, however you will have to overcome a series of obstacles that require your team to develop problem solving, leadership skills and teambuilding.
The challenge starts with your team having lost their equipment which needs to be retrieved before the mission can be completed within the required time.
Armed with only a map and a compass your team use orienteering to find the canoe, communication device, explosives, target maps and mission instructions.
Next is to navigating your way across a trip wire minefield carrying your equipment and the four-man Canadian canoe. Set off a mine and you'll have to use the stretcher to carry a wounded team member!
Once you reach the shoreline you see the harbour on the far side. However it is guarded 5 enemy soldiers. The only way to eliminate them is to use the sniper rifle. Each team member gets five shots at the guards. The team needs to achieve a perfect head shot in order to eliminate each guard; otherwise a time penalty is awarded for each surviving guard.
Using the canoes, the teams then make their way across the water to the enemy harbour. The problem is that there is only one way to get across (treasure hunt the lake for clues to find the correct route). Take a wrong turn and you'll be blown out of the water by the enemy guns.
Finally, once you reach the harbour you have 5 minutes to construct the explosive device and blow up the jetty! The clues as to how program the device to explode are riddled throughout your journey. It's up to you to find out how to interpret them correctly. Once the explosive is correctly programmed to detonate you and your team have 5 minutes to get across the lake to safety.

| Day Induction - Training & planning time will be given at the Vietnam style HQ - facilitated by our team builders. Here you team get to fully understand the intricacies of the day, the decisions they can make and how those decisions will effect the outcome. Certain key roles will be awarded to team members. NBC suits, water, cammo & ration packs are also issued. Command Centre & HQ - For groups larger than 10 a strategic planning & communications base is set up allowing a extra team members to take part as behind the lines 'command and control' officers, relaying orders to the troops on the field via authentic back-pack radios. Bonus Tasks - Extra bonus tasks can be incorporated including find the ammo dump (more sniper gun rounds), retrieve the medical cache (heal wounded members instantly). We can also incorporate command tasks such as build a bridge or other problem solving teambuilding challenges into the day to make it even more intensive for the teams.

Pincer Attack - Instead of one team attacking the harbour jetty, why not use two in a pincer movement! Command and control will need to coordinate this so that both teams arrive at the lake at the same time. |
